1. Basic Working Principle

The angle needle valve controls fluid flow by the vertical movement of its plug (a conical needle). When the handwheel is rotated, the stem drives the needle-shaped plug to either engage  disengage  the valve seat’s conical sealing surface:

Closed State: Rotating the handwheel clockwise presses the plug downward, creating a tight seal against the valve seat  completely blocking fluid flow.

Open State: Rotating the handwheel counterclockwise lifts the plug, creating a fine gap for fluid passage. Flow rate increases with the degree of opening.

2. Structural Features

Right-Angle Design: The inlet  outlet ports are arranged at a 90° angle, making it suitable for confined spaces  piping layouts requiring directional changes, reducing the need for additional elbows.
